Xianghu Lake

Xianghu Lake is located in the south bank of the Qiantang River and the west of Xiaoshan District, 15 km away from the West Lake. As its water area is vast and the hills are misty, just like the Xiaoxiang (in Hunan Province), it got the name “Xiang Lake”. 8,000 years ago when Kuahuqiao Culture bloomed the dawn of civilization, it has become the place where Goujian has endured present hardships to revive later. And then, the legend of Xishi and Fan Li, the works of Li Bai and Lu You, and the relics of the Guan ware of the South Song Dynasty have been played one by one. The scenic spot opened in April, 2006 and has an area of 10.6 m2. There are about 10 scenic spots such as city mountain, lake mountain, Tiger Cave, Shiyan Mountain, as well as 50 attractions such as museum of the Kuahuqiao Relics, Xiasun Cultural Village, listening to wind of Meishan Mountain, playing water in Jinsha that guests can visit at the lake.
