Reservation Service
Group visitors (over 20) need to book free visiting tickets by telephone within 7 days in advance, and take the unit certification letter to pick up tickets in the ticket center in the south of the west gate on the day of visit, and then visitors can enter the museum from the west gate.
Group Reservation Telephone: 010-65116400(9:00-16:00)
Visitor Consultation Telephone: 010-65116188(9:00-16:00)
The National Museum of China advocates the orderly method of booking in advance and visiting later. All visitors having successfully booked tickets via website, short message and telephone are guaranteed to get reserved and free tickets on that day. Visitors are allowed to enter the museum quickly from the west gate after picking up free tickets in the ticket center in the south of the west gate.
On considering the fact that part of visitors to Tian’anmen Square may not book the free visiting tickets for the National Museum of China in advance, we adopt “people- oriented” service concept, and provide the service of queuing for tickets. Fragmented visitors can pick up free visiting tickets with valid permits by queuing in the ticket center in the west gate during the opening time (9:00-15:30) (the valid permits include second-generation ID card, non-print temporary ID card, senior card, household register, residence certification, social security card, disability permit, officer card, soldiers card, passport, a pass into Hong Kong and Macao, MTPs, driving license). It should be noted that visitors with second-generation ID card should get their tickets in the ticket center in the north of the west gate, and visitors with other valid permits should get their tickets in the ticket center in the south of the west gate. Since the time for queuing may be a little longer, the service of picking up tickets on the spot will be stopped temporarily when the number of visitors in the exhibition hall reaches its accommodation.
