Malacca Intercity coach long-distance express connects Malacca and Kuala Lumpur, Seremban, Johor Bahru, Singapore as well as other places on the Malay Peninsula. So far all the long-distance and local buses set off from Melaka Sentral Bus Terminal; it is 4.5 kilometers from the terminal to the historic city center. The express bus can be docked in Malacca Central or Melaka Sentral. In the back of the Melaka Sentral bus terminus, where you can take local bus No. 17, its terminal point is Chinatown and Taming Sari, The fees is 1RM. Southbound Bus set off from the new bus station “Bersepadu Selatan” of Kuala Lumpur (Terminus is near LRT station and KTM komuter station). The most convenient way from Chinatown to Kuala Lumpur station is by walking to the old train station of Kuala Lumpur. Take the KTM Komuter train or take the LRT. The coach from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca departs once every half an hour, the trip takes two hours’ time. The fare is unified RM 12.20.
There are more direct coaches from Lavender St. Bus station in Singapore to Melaka Sentral in Malacca. If you choose to set off on Saturday morning and return on Sunday night it is better to buy tickets in advance according to the vehicle different levels of one-way fare ranging from $3 – 8USD.
