Sichuan establishes cooperation with Oceanian countries

An international tourism promotion event with the theme of "Cultural China, Splendid Sichuan" was recently held in three Oceanian countries, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

The event served as an opportunity for Sichuan province to establish partnerships with the countries in Oceania in a number of fields. A ceremony, artistic performances, photo exhibitions and symposiums were held during the promotion event, which has yielded some desired results, according to the organizers.

Sichuan and the three countries have reached agreements on seeking mutual cooperation in such fields as trade, education, tourism and exchange of experts and professionals.

Leading media organizations from the three Oceanian countries covered the event in their news reports and called the outcome as success.

Sichuan province is in southwest China. It boasts abundant tourism resources and rich history. It is also the 'hometown' of pandas.
