【Introduction】:The airline included Shanghai in its flight schedule in 2004 but stopped the service in 2007
Austrian Airlines, a national carrier, will resume its long-haul flight service between Shanghai and Vienna next year due to rising demand, marking its second destination in China after Beijing.
Starting on April 4, 2016, the airline will operate the flight five times a week and on a daily basis beginning in May. The flight time will be about 10 hours 20 minutes and cover a distance of more than 8,500 kilometers.
The airline included Shanghai in its flight schedule in 2004 but stopped the service in 2007.
"Shanghai once again offers potential thanks to the significantly improved market environment and increased local demand," said Andreas Otto, Chief Commercial Officer of Austrian Airlines.
