CAIRO - The Egyptian Minister for Tourism, Hisham Zaazou, announced a major conference in Cairo, entitled ‘Tourism in Egypt 2016 – Planning for Growth’ which will take place on Tuesday 23 February 2016.

The one day event will bring together senior executives from around the world who share an interest in the development of tourism in Egypt, including representatives from airlines, hotels, and tour operators. ‘Tourism in Egypt 2016 – Planning for Growth’ will provide national and international tourism stakeholders the opportunity to hear the latest updates and plans for tourism growth in Egypt, including developments and enhancement to security.

There will be a number of high profile speeches during the day, panel sessions involving a number of Ambassadors to Egypt as well as a discussion led by airline and hotel representatives on increasing flights and hotel occupancy; and an update on security by Control Risks, the newly appointed world security expert advisors to the Egyptian Government. The event will also cover the tourism initiatives planned for 2016 giving an overview of the international marketing campaign and developments at hotel and resort infrastructure across the country.
