Jakarta Free Bus Will Apply Tap in-Out

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama wants free bus equipped with tap in-out system in order to collect the passenger data, thus it can improve the service.

"Free bus must be equipped with tap in-out. So we give free bus, as long as residents use the card to ride it," disclosed Basuki, during an executive meeting (rapim) at City Hall, Monday (8/22).

He added, with tap in-out, he can also know the travel patterns of passengers. Because his party will continue to add free bus. "I want this bus serve Tanah Abang, Kota Tua also. Thus we know where the passenger destination," he told.

According to him, in future, the card could be used for various purposes. Because, this time, non-cash transaction in the capital is still being developed. Starting from a transaction that is in Jakarta Provincial Government, parking, recreational site entrance, ride the bus, and others.

"The card can be used for various transactions. Because we will develop non-transaction service," he finished.
