The Design Scheme Has Been Confirmed That Sino-Singapore Friendship Park Tianjin Will Be Completed in 2018.

Covering an area of 41.7 hectare, the park will be equipped with multiple outdoor landscapes like hanging garden, waterfront footpath, etc. As the largest municipal level park in Eco-city area, the design scheme of the park had been confirmed days ago.

In November 2005, resolution was passed on the 38th Sino-Singapore Working Conference to build “Sino-Singapore Friendship Park” by Eco-city Management Committee and National Parks Board Singapore. Then the international design scheme collection was carried out. SWA from America, GRANT from British and Atelier Dreiseitl from Germany, the three international famous design companies attended the competition. Finally, on expert review meeting, the designing scheme of GRANT was confirmed winner.

With the concepts of “Handshaking” and “Friendship”, and with glasshouses complex and interior gardens as the core, the framework of the park provides the park with wind shelter and relatively centralized space. Library and Archives as well as Tropical Conservatory of Eco-city are contained. Besides, featured landscapes are designed including large scale lawns, hanging garden, secret garden, scholarly square, water garden, central lake area, friendship wetland and waterfront footpath, etc. To be a environment friendly project, the park is planned to be completed in 2018 with green technologies of renewable energy, smart city and sponge city, etc.
