New Attempt in Tourism + Financial: Qingdao Debit "Travel Card" Released

On the morning of August 3rd, the Qingdao China Construction Bank "Travel Card" issuing ceremony was held at the municipal conference center. Wang Zhe, Deputy Secretary General of Qingdao Municipal Government; Mr. Cui Dezhi, Director of Qingdao Tourism Bureau; Mr. Hao Zijian, President of China Construction Bank Qingdao Branch; Wang Jinhu, General Manager of Huaxia Zhilu (Beijing) Consulting Service Co., Ltd. attended the ceremony.

In 2011, China Construction Bank Hebei Branch and Huaxia Zhilu (Beijing) Consulting Services Co., Ltd. launched debit card named "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Tourism Card", which can be used in Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Handan, Qinhuangdao, Chifeng, Dezhou and other places. At present, there are more than 1 million card users. Since the inception of the card, more than 200 tourist attractions and 1,500 shops in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Chifeng (Inner Mongolia) and Dezhou (Shandong) have become card merchants.

In order to provide more convenient online and offline intelligent travel services for Qingdao residents, Qingdao Tourism Bureau along with China Construction Bank Qingdao Branch and China Travel Service (Beijing) Advisory Service Co., Ltd., introduced Qingdao debit "Travel Card”. It is a financial debit card and first type of card to take city image as the theme. The Qingdao debit "Travel Card" is an extension of the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Tourism Card".

The Qingdao "Travel Card" connects financial services to tourism consumption. It also lays the foundation for the cooperation of tourism and finance industry.

The Qingdao "Travel Card" is the debit card of the China Construction Bank. Aside from the basic function of a debit card (cash access, transfer remittances, consumer transactions, payment and settlement), it also can be used in scenic spots, restaurants and hotels, travel products discounts, as well as, ETC, public transport, etc. So far more than 60 companies, including Laoshan Scenic Area, Haichang Polar Ocean Park, Underwater World, Beer Museum, Shangri-La Hotel, Huanghai Hotel, Fuxin mansion, Shandong Uanda International Travel Agency, and CITS has become Qingdao “travel card” merchant.

Applying for the Qingdao "Travel Card" is easy. Every China Construction Bank Qingdao branch can dispense the card. There is no fee for account management related services, but there is a charge of 10 RMB / year for service fees.

It is said that Qingdao "Travel Card" cardholders have access to many preferential services and priority advantages.

Tourism information services: Qingdao "Travel Card" leading group in conjunction with the local tourism authorities and banks will print all kinds of publicity materials to provide tourism information services from time to time for enterprises and card users.

Consumer discount services: card users can have access to discounts and VIP membership treatment in the join enterprises when paid by card.

Risk-free rights and interests: Customers can Call 400-1065-008 to complain when discount or service failed with receipt provided.

At present, Huangdao District in Qingdao has also attached "Huangdao Annual Tourism Ticket" service to the "Travel Card". It provide discounts for seven scenic spots (Greater Pearl Mountain area, Langyatai area, Zhuzhou National Forest Park, Qingdao Forest Wildlife World, Hong Bo Park, St. Valentine Manor, Baigao Orchid). The annual tourism ticket is an extension of the functions of the Qingdao "Travel Card".

This year, Qingdao Tourism Bureau will also promote the city annual tourism ticket as soon as possible.
