Dublin unveiled a Dublin Pass app and a mobile version of its Dublin Pass sightseeing card this month, offering access to more than 25 attractions directly from smartphones.
The Dublin Pass app is available for iPhone and Android smartphones and contains details on featured attractions, regions and themed excursions as well as on transportation services and maps.
The mobile Dublin Pass includes a QR code that users can scan at each location.
A one-day pass is priced at about $67 per adult and enables pass holders to skip the lines at such attractions as the Dublin Zoo, the Guinness Storehouse, the Dublinia museum and the James Joyce Centre. The pass is available for one, two, three or five days.
Dublin Pass holders also can sync the app with their pass, triggering last-minute special offers sent directly to their smartphone based on their location.
