Sanya Phoenix International Airport and Airports Council International (ACI) have signed a collaboration agreement on ACI’s Airport Excellence (APEX) in Safety Program at the VIP Terminal of Sanya Airport on October 23rd, 2017.
The signing ceremony featured the attendance by about 40 national and international aviation experts and delegates from Airports Council International, Atlanta Airport, Cork Airport, Dublin Airport, Incheon International Airport and HNA Airport Group.
According to the agreement, ACI will help Sanya airport to identify and remedy safety vulnerabilities by safety assessment and reviews, information sharing, training, assistance with implementation of management structures and the technical assistance.
The Sanya Airport aims to achieve the highest standards of safety and quality in air traffic services and airport management to be a world-class organization and a major hub in Asia. This collaboration with ACI concerning its APEX in Safety programme for Airports will take the Sanya airport’s safety to the next level.
According to Mr. Juan Manuel Manriquez, General Manager of the ACI’s APEX programme, the signing of the agreement signals the official start of a collaboration to grow ACI’s Airport Excellence in Safety Programme (APEX). We have been committed to helping airport partners to improve safety compliance and mitigate the risks of airport incidents. The collaboration will allow both organizations to join forces to improve aviation safety standards and to promote and facilitate excellence at operations and management at the Sanya airport.
