Land transport passengers will be able to use free Wi-Fi network as early as March 1, 2018.
This was reported by State Unitary Enterprise “Passazhiravtotrans”. The company has recently announced a competition to connect its vehicles to the Wi-Fi network. The winner of the competition will be determined on January 15, 2018. Thus, buses of St. Petersburg as well as underground trains will become platforms for access to the network.
We remind that last fall the city government has announced a general connection of public transport to Wi-Fi in the run-up of the World Cup 2018. St. Petersburg metro was already connected to the network and ground transport next in line.
