In May, "Dunayskaya", "Prospekt Slavy" and "Yuzhnaya" stations will start their work. This was recently announced by Sergei Kharlashkin, the head of city Committee for Transport.
The purple branch of St. Petersburg underground will be extended by 3 new stations. Thus, for the residents of Shushary village and the Kupchino municipal district it will be easier to get to the city center.
Also, by April 1, 2018, it is planned to put into operation "Begovaya" and "Novokrestovskaya" stations, which will become the continuation of green branch. Commissioning of these stations is particularly important before the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2018.
