Tianjin: The 15th Xiqing District Folk Custom Cultural Tourism Festival Was Grandly Opened.

On lunar Dec 23rd, The 15th Xiqing District Folk Custom Cultural Tourism Festival was officially opened at Yihe Hall, Ruyi Avenue, Yangliuqing Town.

On the day of opening ceremony, Ruyi Avenue is extremely bustling and enveloped with the festival atmosphere. Strings of red lanterns made the avenue joyous and harmonious; dances of New Year painting dolls were ebullient with strong folk characteristics; lion dance was majestic-looking and vivid; on the festival shopping street, there were various festival commodities like Yangliuqing New Year Paintings, Spring Festival scrolls, Diaoqian and lanterns, like a feast for the eyes; besides, there are also all kinds of local snacks like Yangliuqing crunchy candy, Cha Tang and Shuli cake, etc. Many citizens and tourists were attracted here by the reputation to go shopping and enjoy snacks. All main scenic area and attractions of Xiqing District promoted their tourism resources on site; the early preheating and real-time reporting of over 20 media of Tianjin and Xiqing District pushed the festival to a new high that the popularity of Xiqing tourism was further improved.

The festival started from lunar Dec 23rd and will end on lunar Jan 16th. Contents are rich with many highlights including 19 featured activities and 5 preferential measures. Among them, there is Shawo Radish Cultural Festival for tourists to buy and taste authentic Shawo radish and learn how to recognize true and false Shawo radish; excellent performances of Beijing opera, Pingju and Hebei Clapper Opera in Shi Family Courtyard show tourists a different taste of Xiqing folk; besides snow mountain, snow run and snowfield amusement, Yangliuqing Manor Ice and Snow Festival also brings in children's snowboarding project which is the first in Tianjin and even North China; Winter Rainforest Cultural Festival and Exotic Performance in Chaozhuang Flower Botanical Garden show you a different taste of China; the newly opened Republic of China Street of Society Hill Cultural Tourism Pork adds another highlight to Xiqing tourism; the large-scale temple fair of Jingwumen·China Martial Arts Garden and shopping festival on Ruyi Avenue can meet all kinds of shopping requirements of tourists.

Besides, there will be a great feast of culture in Xiqing District during Lantern Festival including Yangliuqing Lantern Show, Yangko and Folk Art Performances in streets and towns, China·Yangliuqing The 3rd International Folk Photography Show, Spring Festival Calligraphy, Painting and Seal Cutting Show, as well as Public Service Movie Projection Week.

Xiqing District Folk Cultural Tourism Festival has been successfully held for 15 years, it is an important brand of traditional tourism festival.
