Sanya Unveils List of ‘Time-Honored Brand’ Restaurants

Ninety-five catering business operators in Sanya were awarded the official “Time-honored Brand” title on February 13th, according to the Sanya Tourism Development Commission.

The special distinction for restaurants in Sanya has drawn wide attention since it was officially created in December 2017. Two hundred eighteen catering enterprises across the city applied for the award.

According to the organizers, companies chosen for the “Time-honored Brand” distinction are mainly comprised of five catering categories, namely, seafood, snacks, Hainan dishes, regional specialty food, and dessert shops. The title was granted to companies that have well-deserved reputations and that have received wide recognition.

Sanya is working to build itself into a world-class coastal tourist city. The selection of these “Time-honored Brand” restaurants will give a boost to the healthy development of Sanya’s tourism and catering industry and will help in the goal of developing the city into a model for holistic tourism in China.
