Tianjin 2018 Spring Festival Holiday Tourism Market Information

Tourists from Thailand celebrated the festival in Tianjin.

During Spring Festival holiday, 20 tourists from Thailand arrived in Tianjin. They visited Ancient Cultural Street, Tianhou Temple, Italian Style Tourism Area and Nanshi Cuisine Street, etc. These are all attractions showing the folk culture, cuisine and European style of Tianjin, which could help foreign tourists experiencing and further knowing about the culture of China and Tianjin.

In 2017, Tianjin Tourism Administration cooperated with Beijing Zhongyu International Travel Agency Co., Ltd to launch "Thailand Mass Tour in Tianjin" project, aiming at advertising the urban tourism brand of Tianjin in Southeast Asia, enhancing the prestige of Tianjin in Thailand and attracting large batches of Thai tourists to enter China from Tianjin Airport and visit the city.

During Spring Festival holiday, in order to create the festival atmosphere in Wudadao area, "Wudadao·Minyuan Import Commodity Spring Festival Shopping Festival" was held in February, 2018. The main hall is located in Yijiangtong Bonded Goods Exhibition Center and Mechanical Snail Cross Border E-commerce Experience Center on B1, Minyuan Square; branch hall is located in Europe-Asia Trains Imports Store in Xiannong Courtyard. The activity aimed to create the One Belt One Road shopping festival to bring in various high quality, green and healthy imported commodities from all over the world.

The over 150 years old Tianjin Astor Hotel also held "Tianjin Taste Afternoon Tea" activity on Feb 20 during Spring Festival holiday. Cha Tang, fried dough twist, nutlets, Shawo radish..., various distinctive local traditional snack of Tianjin show you a mellow taste of Tianjin in the European style surrounding.

On Feb 10th, the first indoor zoo was brought out in Teemall, Heping District. Covering an area of 3000sq.m, the whole zoo is landscaped with rainforest, enveloped with green plants and twining vines. Tourists can directly contact, feed and take photos with Fennec, raccoon and scarlet macaw, etc.

The well-know "Yangliuqing New Year Wood-block Painting" is national intangible cultural heritage, one of the city cards of Tianjin, and one of the most popular souvenirs for tourists. During Spring Festival holiday, Yangliuqing New Year Painting Museum held "Alive Relics and Dancing Paintings -- Tianjin Yangliuqing New Year Painting Collection Show", attracting many tourists from Beijing and Hebei.
