Haitang District, Sanya Leaves Hainan for Wuhan to Promote Tourism

On the afternoon of June 28, hosted by Haitang District Government, the 2018 Haitang District, Sanya Tourism Marketing and Promotion Meeting was held in Wuhan. This promotion meeting targeted the theme of “Assist in Free Trade - Haitang Sails Off”, and systematically introduced Haitang District’s high-end tourism products from multiple angles to Wuhan’s travel salesmen and citizens. It is reported that this is the first time that Haitang District has left Hainan to promote tourism.

The nearly 200 participants that attended the promotion meeting included the person in charge of Wuhan Municipal Commission of Tourism Development, the person in charge of Haitang District of Sanya, representatives of the many tourism-related enterprises from Haitang Bay, many Wuhan tourism industrial institutions, and mainstream media.

Deputy Director Mr. Fan Ji of Wuhan Municipal Commission of Tourism Development delivered a speech at the promotion meeting.

The person in charge of Haitang District, Sanya said in his speech that 18th parallel north is reputed as the most suitable place for travel, and congregates the renowned tourist resorts such as Hawaii, Miami, Maldives and so on. Yes, the Sanya Haitang Bay is also located in this area, with a stunning coastline and precious ecological resources. The local government takes the lead and joins the overall development. This area is complimented as the “National Coast”.

The person in charge of Haitang District, Sanya said that at present the Haitang Bay is making all efforts to build a world-class comprehensive tourist destination with such characteristics: complete tourism elements, rich tourism products, convenient transportation for tourism, a beautiful tourism environment, and excellent tourism service qualities. He hoped that Haitang District can have the opportunity to conduct the multi-level, multi-field practical cooperation with Wuhan, attract more tourism elites to Hainan to work and achieve win-win results. Meanwhile, he also sent his sincere invitation to the citizens of Wuhan, welcoming Wuhan tourists to visit Haitang District to experience the best service and the most unique tourism products, and feel the most beautiful image of Haitang District.

At the promotion meeting, Haitang District representative gave a Li People’s brocade to the representative of Wuhan Municipal Commission of Tourism Development.

During the promotion meeting, through the playing of Haitang District’s tourism publicity videos, PPT tourism promotion and other forms of media, Haitang District exhibited its breathtaking scenery, colorful humanities and mature coastal resort facilities, and vividly presented the high quality tourism resources of Haitang District such as Livable Haitang, Romantic Haitang, Taste Haitang, Wealthy Haitang, Dynamic Haitang, and so on. The beautiful scenery, unique island style, splendid hotels, and featured snacks piqued the interest of the visitors.

As the east gate of Sanya, Haitang District has always been working to build the “National Coast”. The 21.8-km-long coastline is lined with 19 high-end hotels such as Atlantis Sanya, Yalong Bay Mangrove Tree Resort, Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort, The Sanya EDITION, Rosewood Sanya etc. In addition, there are also 5A-level attractions: Wuzhizhou Island, Rice National Park (a comprehensive area of agriculture and tourism), beautiful Beishan and Qingtang Villages, Haitang Bay Duty Free Shopping Center (the world’s largest single duty-free store), and the Sanya Haichang Dream Night City, which will open at the end of this year.

It is understood that the tourism-related businesses in the Haitang Bay received 11,380,000 visitors and earned 8.4 billion yuan, and has great contributions to the tourism industry of Sanya. In the next step, based on its rich tropical coastal tourism resources, Haitang District will systematically launch its internationalized and refined strategy. It will treat innovation as its driving force, get upgraded through transformation, perfect functions, and regard improving quality to increase efficiency as its main line; systematically perfect its tourism service standard system, create new tourism products, strengthen its integration development with other industries, make the tourism industry become greater and stronger. It makes all efforts to create the 3.0 upgraded version of the tourism industry, and strives to build the district into a demonstration area of comprehensive tourism in Hainan Province.
