Sanya Romance Park Receives over 22 Million Visitors over past 5 Years

Sanya Romance Park, a large-scale cultural recreation theme park in Sanya, has proven to be very popular since its opening in September 2013.

The park received over 22 million visitors over the past five years of operation.

In front of Sanya Romance Park’s main gate, a 28-meter-high Goddess Statue of the South China Sea and elephant pillars line a spectacular entryway.

Inside the scenic spot, performers wearing Song Era costumes walk around in ancient-style streets and workshops. Visitors also have the chance to watch magic shows, folk dances and ancient Chinese wedding ceremonies.

In the park, The Legend of Romance, an art and dance performance showcasing the colorful multicultural history of Sanya City, stages daily at the Sanya Qianguqing Grand Theater and has become a popular nightlife site for tourists during their stay in Sanya.

Combining Sanya’s Tianya Culture, Li and Miao culture, and many other Sanya original folk customs, the theme park consists of a great many special areas and attractions, including Sanya Qianguqing Grand Theater, Yazhou Ancient City Cultural Theme Park, Elephant Valley, the Li and Miao Village Cultural Experience Area, Valentine’s Valley, Children’s Playground, Banyan Bar, Triangle Plum Seafood Stall, South China Sea Goddess Cultural Square, and many more.

To offer more cultural and entertainment activities for tourists and local residents, the park also feature other leisure projects such as Sanya Snow World, Songcheng Color Zoo and Langlanglang Water Park.
