The city tourist board presented its Tourism Intelligence System and Big Data studies at the annual meeting of the UNWTO International Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories (INSTO) in Madrid.
The Buenos Aires City Tourist Board took part in the annual meeting of the world's major tourism observatories in Madrid. The event organised by UNWTO's International Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories (INSTO) provided a space for interaction among 24 member destinations.
Through mentor breakfasts, rounds of debate, and various workshops, including one led by Buenos Aires, South Tyrol (Italy) and Portugal, members shared experiences in measuring tourism and discussed the impact of the phenomenon.
The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) promotes technological innovation and explore opportunities to offer new options for localization. Buenos Aires stands out in the area thanks to the city's Tourism Intelligence System and Big Data studies that allow better decision making.
The city tourist board was represented by Federico Esper, general director of Market Intelligence and Observatory.
