News: Buenos Aires Presents the Latest on the Destination in London

From November 5 to 7, the city tourist board took part in World Travel Market with a stand and meetings with operators and press. The number of visitors from the UK to the Argentine capital is on the up.

Buenos Aires continues promotion at the main tourism trade fairs. From November 5 to 7, the city tourist board took part in longstanding event World Travel Market (WTM) 2018, which gathered major operators and destinations from around the world at London's Excel Convention Center.

Buenos Aires was represented at the Argentina stand and had a packed agenda both at the stand and in meetings with operators and service companies and interviews with specialist press. The city's delegation was led by the president of the tourist board, Gonzalo Robredo. Joint actions were also planned with other Argentine destinations that shared the Nacional Institute for the Promotion of Tourism's stand, including Bariloche, Mendoza, Chaco and Jujuy.

In the first half of 2018, 29,275 British tourists visited Buenos Aires, an increase of 5.7% compared with the same period in 2017, according to the tourist board's figures.
