【Introduction】:The "Berlin Jazz Day ", founded in 1964, has evolved into "JazzFest Berlin ", which kicks off the jazz boom every autumn. Since its inception, more than 1500 musicians from more than 1200 bands from around the world have appeared at the JazzFest Berlin.

In early November Berlin becomes jazzy. For over 50 years, jazz musicians from Berlin and all over the world have come together to play at the Jazzfest, making the festival one of the oldest and most prestigious in Europe. Among its guests have been big names such as Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and Duke Ellington. The Jazzfest Berlin is part of the Berliner Festspiele.
