Beijing Expo 2019 Award Ceremony: WTCF won the silver award

On October 8th, the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019, Beijing, China Award Ceremony was held in Yanqing, Beijing. The awards of AIPH (International Association of Horticultural Producers) and the Organizing Committee of Expo 2019 Beijing were given at the event. World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) Pavilion won the Organizing Committee of Expo 2019 Beijing Silver Award.

International competition was an important part of the Beijing Expo 2019. It is a stage for organizations and individuals around the world to showcase horticultural techniques from cultural exchange. The Beijing Expo 2019 held international competitions for outdoor and indoor exhibitions, as well as seven special contests themed on different flowers. A slew of acknowledgements such as best and outstanding contribution from the AIPH, the grand, special, golden, silver, honorary, and best organization awards of the Organizing Committee of Expo 2019 Beijing were given to showcase the new varieties, technologies and achievements of world horticulture. Among them, the Beijing Outdoor Garden and some others won the Organizing Committee of Expo 2019 Beijing Grand Award. France Garden and some others won the special award, while the African Union Pavilion and some others won the golden award. The WTCF Pavilion, United Nations Office for Project Services Pavilion etc. won the Organizing Committee of Expo 2019 Beijing Silver Award.

The Beijing Expo 2019 was held in Yanqing, Beijing, from April 29th to October 9th. The theme is “Live Green, Liver Better”. The expo has attracted a record participation of 110 countries and international organizations, and over 120 non-official participants, and received a total of 9.34 million visitors. With its booth set up, the WTCF provided complimentary exhibition and negotiation areas for its members, which was used for publicity, showcasing, promotion, negotiations, sales of tourism products, and so on. On May 28th, the WTCF held an event to commemorate the opening day of its 2019 tourism promotion conference. Some representatives of various cities from South America, Asia, domestic travel agencies, and media organizations participated in the activity. The event has further promoted members’ tourism resources.
