【Introduction】:In 2018, more than 11 million tourists visited Egypt, A&K says, noting the World Tourism Organization has named it the world's fastest-growing travel destination.

Among the latest: Abercrombie & Kent's "Where to Go in 2020," which offers a few of the expected hot spots - including Egypt and Greenland - along with some surprising up-and-comers like South Korea, Namibia and Poland.

The predictions, A&K says, are based on intelligence from its 55 offices around the world. And, of course, they highlight some of their newest itineraries.

Not surprisingly, Egypt, tops the list. In 2018, more than 11 million tourists visited Egypt, A&K says, noting the World Tourism Organization has named it the world's fastest-growing travel destination.

Besides river cruising on the Nile, the Pyramids and the Valley of the Kings, Egypt in 2020 is also scheduled to finally open the new Grand Egyptian Museum on the Giza Plateau. Set to be the world's largest archaeological museum, the Grand Egyptian will showcase a vast array of ancient Egyptian finds, including some 30,000 items that have never been exhibited to the public.

A&K offers land and river packages, including the 10-day Egypt & the Nile and Family Egypt & the Nile.

South Korea, on the other hand, remains fairly undiscovered by Americans, A&K says, and is "one of Asia's most surprising travel destinations. A relative newcomer to the luxury travel scene, South Korea is a surprise package known as much for its street food and storied past as it is for its heavily militarized border." The destination is included on one of A&K's new for 2020 tours, South Korea & Japan: Cultural Legacies of the East.

Chile, A&K says, will benefit from the expansion of the Santiago International Airport, which offers a gateway beyond the capital to the country's 2,700 miles of coastline, the Atacama Desert and Patagonia.

A&K has two new trips to Chile next year, including the nine-day Marvels of Chile and a 12-day private jet journey Wings Over Argentina, Chile & Brazil

In Poland, A&K says Warsaw is evolving as a vibrant travel destination. Nearly a dozen hotels are set to open there in 2020, including a Nobu property. Next year also marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, and the Warsaw Uprising, which helped liberate the city from German occupation, was a turning point in the war.

In addition to its "Poland to Prague" and "Tailor Made Poland: Warsaw & Krakow" itineraries, Poland is among the stops next year on A&K's new "Cruising the Baltic Sea: Copenhagen to St. Petersburg."

As one of the world's least populated countries, A&K also predicts growing demand in 2020 for travel to Namibia, which it says "offers travelers the luxury of solitude in an absolutely pristine environment. The other worldly beauty of Sossusvlei, surrounded by spectacular red-sand dunes of the Namib Desert, offers a unique counterpoint to the lush forests experienced elsewhere throughout southern Africa."

A&K offers two options to Namibia, "Wings Over Southern Africa" and "Tailor Made Namibia: Deserts & Savannas Safari."

The final region on A&K's hot list is the Arctic Circle, which includes Greenland and Iceland. Both can be visited on A&K's new "Ultimate Iceland & Greenland Cruise," a 15-day sailing on "Le Boreal," a certified environmentally friendly 'cleanship.'"
