ATI and many other travel agents came to China for a survey recently which was strongly supported by WTCF. On the night of May 10th, an exchange conference was held at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing. Delegates from Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development and other institutions also attended this conference.

During the conference, officials from Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development introduced Beijing's abundant tourism resources and the latest inbound tourism policies that the city has issued. Delegates from American tourism agents were invited to do more inspections and learning in Beijing. With this, they can strengthen communication and cooperation with practitioners in Beijing.

Delegates of WTCF introduced the company profile and what it had done to promote cooperation among members. WTCF invited representatives from American travel agents with the aim of cultivating cooperation opportunities on WTCF’s platform. On behalf of WTCF, Deputy Secretary General Yan Han invited the guests at the conference to attend the Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit, set to be held in Chongqing, China in September.

Delegates of American agents including ATI expressed that they got a more intuitive understanding of Beijing after visiting many of Beijing’s tourist attractions. As China’s international status rises, Beijing plays a bigger role on world’s tourism stage. They will conduct closer communicate and cooperation with Beijing on outbound tourism, inbound tourism and so on. They hope to take part in more events hosted by WTCF and make further contacts within WTCF’s membership base.

At the promotion conference, Kempinski Hotel, a member of WTCF, introduced its brand, history, and latest events.

ATI is the biggest state-owned private-managed institution in outbound tourism and inbound tourism of America. It was founded in 1977 by President Ms. Noel Irwin Hentschel and CEO Michael Fitzpatrick. At present, ATI provides tourism services to nearly 1 million tourists from more than 70 countries every year. As a Vice Secretary-General Unit and an original member of WTCF, ATI has attended the Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit many times in the past.
