WTCF Los Angeles Investment Lecture Held in Beijing

The 2017 WTCF Los Angeles Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit is scheduled to be held in Los Angeles on September 19th and 20th. During the summit, the WTCF Committee of Investment, China Association of Private Equity, and China Cultural & Tourism Investment Alliance will organize the Tourism Investment Fair and The Inaugural Group. Many world famous tourism investors are on the special guests’ list. After the summit, the guests attending the summit will be invited to visit world famous enterprises such as Google, Intel, etc.

In order to help WTCF members understand the Tourism Investment Fair, WTCF invited Mr. Stephen Cheung, President of The World Trade Center Los Angeles, to deliver a lecture on the situation of Los Angeles’ investment sector. The members of WTCF Committee of Investment and representatives of enterprises or institutions attend the lecture.

Mr. Li Baochun, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of WTCF hosted a presentation and briefly introduced WTCF, the 2017 WTCF Los Angeles Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit, and the Tourism Investment Fair. After that, Mr. Stephen Cheung, President of The World Trade Center Los Angeles, introduced the Investment situation of Los Angeles.

Stephen Cheung’s lecture covered many aspects of Los Angeles’s investment sector including regional resources; city environment; Chinese enterprises’ great influence on Los Angeles’s trade and tourism industry; Los Angeles’s three major industries (tourism, manufacturing, and entertainment); enterprise development policies, laws, and regulations; outstanding high-tech employment sources; transportation development; status quo of the real estate industry and so on.

The participants listened to the lecture and came up with the questions and concerns for the lecturer after the lecture. These questions involve Los Angeles’s preferential policies to tourism and cultural enterprises’ policy of company acquisition and construction, the influence of the new federal government’s tax proposals on investment, and the detailed information of the pharmaceutical Industry of Los Angeles. In addition, some participant also asked about the reviewing procedures of commercial programs in the federal government and the state government. Mr. Stephen Cheung addressed the questions and concerns one by one. This lecture provided enterprises, who hope to invest in Los Angeles, with first-hand reliable materials and information. Additionally, the lecture helped to increase enterprises’ confidence in investing in Los Angeles.

During the 2016 World Tourism Cities Federation Chongqing Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit, WTCF and China Association of Private Equity jointly founded the Committee of Investment after many years of consideration and preparation. During the first Tourism Trade Fair, 40 tourism investment projects in total were successfully signed, with the total amount reaching 80 billion RMB.
