As tourism involves a wide range and is highly comprehensive, any change of any factors may have an impact on tourism. A malignant event affects a place, a disaster affects a part. And sometimes even a change of one factor such as the financial market would cause a overall damage. This COVID-19 is a crisis. In 2003, the world generally believed that China's tourism industry would take two years to recover, in fact, it took only half a year. It fully reflects the sensitivity and toughness of tourism.
From the perspective of development basis, first of all, China has the advantages of a big country. Some factors that were originally thought to be burdens are now promoting factors. Some things are also in the process of transformation, and there is great potential demand, especially in rural areas. If the potential is activated, many crises will pass.
The second is economic growth. Generally speaking, China is still in an upward development cycle, which is fundamentally different from that of the developed countries. They are developing steadily. We have been in an upward cycle all these years.
Third, the current supply has been improved correspondingly, especially from the perspective of tourism. There used to be various short-term constraints, now the overall supply of tourism has been improved, and this supply improvement will form a situation. In the period of low-level sliding, the competition is more about quality.
Fourth, China has accumulated quite a lot of experience. We know what will happen in the low period and what to do. Finally, there is demand. In fact, it still exists objectively, but the demand is constantly changing, so this is the basis for the next step of development, and also the basis for the metaphor of winter and spring.
