Croatia's Tourism Revenue Expected to Reach Record High This Year

Annual revenue from Croatia's tourism industry is expected to reach a record-high EUR 11.3 billion this year, the Croatian newspaper The Morning Paper reported on 15 August.

The figure will surpass pre-pandemic levels in 2019 when tourists spent EUR 10.5 billion euros in Croatia, the newspaper said.

In the first three months of 2022, Croatia's tourism revenue amounted to EUR 500 million, more than double the number in the same period last year and slightly exceeding the figure in 2019, according to data from Croatian National Bank, as quoted by the report.

Citing a record-high employment rate and GDP growth forecast of 5.5 percent this year, the report said growing tourism revenue would contribute to Croatia's economic growth.
