In May 2013, Wang Anshun, then Chairman of the WTCF Council and Mayor of Beijing visited the United Nations. Then UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon met with Wang Anshun and other delegates. On the same day, a roundtable meeting on “Sustainable Urban Development and Tourism” co-organized by WTCF, the permanent mission of China to UN, and the International Health and Environment Organization was held in the Headquarters of UN, at which, WTCF signed the memorandum of cooperation with the International Health and Environment Organization.
