Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the festival with defence personnel posted in India-controlled Kashmir.
TV reports showed Modi offering sweets to the Indian Army soldiers. One of his tweets during the day showed him feeding sweets to individual soldiers by his hand. In the tweet he also mentioned "#Diwali is sweeter when celebrated with our brave soldiers."
