Zaragoza Joins the Mobike Movement

Mobike today arrived in Zaragoza, Spain with the city becoming the latest to join the Mobike movement. Together Mobike and the City of Zaragoza pledged improve mobility towards a more sustainable model, with the initial launch of 1,000 bikes to be deployed progressively in the coming weeks.

The goal of Mobike is to become the smart, affordable and responsible transport alternative to improve urban mobility for the city of Zaragoza and its residents.

In addition, as in all cities where it has been launched, Mobike will collaborate closely with local authorities on various initiatives aimed at promoting the responsible use of cycling as a means of urban transport.

Hunab Moreno, General Manager of Mobike in Spain, explained that "we will work on road safety measures and bicycle parking protocols, in partnership with the City Council".

This new pilot project marks the beginning of Mobike operations in Aragon and the further expansion of Mobike in the Spanish market. In less than six months in Spain Mobike has already successfully launched in Madrid and in Hospitalet of Llobregat (Barcelona).
