Several Tourism Projects of Qinhuangdao City were included in the "2018 Hebei Province Tourism Results"

On January 16th, the “2018 Hebei Province Tourism Results Release Conference” was held in Shijiazhuang city. With the theme “Opening a New Era for Hebei Province’s Tourism”, the conference was hosted by the Hebei Province Commission of Tourism Development and supported by China Tourism News, Hebei News Group, Hebei TV, and Great Wall New Media Group. The conference aims to summarize Hebei Province’s Tourism reform and development achievements in 2017, establish the tourism industry brand benchmark, enhance the influence of Hebei tourism industry, speed up the establishment of the “National Tourism Demonstration Province” and begin a new development phase for Hebei tourism industry. More than 500 guests were invited to the conference including government leaders from Hebei Province and National Tourism Administration, tourism department leaders from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, members of Hebei Province Tourism Leading Group, candidates of the conference, key travel companies from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and representative from major media in Hebei Province. Na Shuchen, Director of Hebei Province Tourism Committee presided over the event; Wang Xiaodong, Vice Governor of Hebei Province; and Jia Yucheng, Deputy Chief of Planning and Finance Department of China National Tourism Administration, attended the event and delivered their speeches.

11 tourism achievements of Hebei Province were released at the event. In addition, other activities that were held during the event includes “The Release of 2018 Comprehensive Tourism Product”, the release of the “Recommended Spring Festival Boutique Tourist Routes”, the “Unveiling ceremony of Hebei Province Tourism Innovation and Development Center”, and the “Hebei Online Cloud-Tourism Launching Ceremony”. These events are the overall annual systematic sorting and summary for Hebei Tourism Industry. The diversity of these projects released at the event and the number of fields that these projects are involved in have never been seen until now, with lots of them being organized to accept assessment or release for the first time. 16 organizations and individual persons from Qinhuangdao were chosen as excellent representatives, and they have earned honor for Qinhuangdao’s tourism industry.

Qinhuangdao won the Special Contribution Award at the Second Conference of the 2017 Hebei Tourism Industrial Development; Yang Qinggang, Chairman of the Board of Qinhuangdao Bingtangyu Great Wall Stylish Grand Canyon Tourism Service Co., Ltd., was honored the “Top Tourism Professional Role Model in Hebei ”; The Yudao Scenic Area of Beidaihe New District was awarded the title of “Top 10 Hebei Tourism Investment Projects of 2017”; the Tourist Information Center in Qinhuangdao Beidaihe, the intelligent tourism project of Qinhuangdao, the landscape road of Shanhaihuatian in Qinhuangdao was awarded the “Hebei Top 10 Public Tourism Service Projects in 2017”. The toilet update modification of the ancient city of Shanhaiguan, and the commercialized toilet modification strategy of tourist service post station in the Seaport District were awarded the “Highlight of Hebei Top 10 Toilet Revolution in 2017”. Qinhuangdao Haiyan International Travel Agency won the “Hebei Top 10 Travel Agencies in 2017”. The ENNGroup, Overseas Chinese Town Holdings Company (OCT Group), which invested in Qinhuangdao, won the “Hebei Top 10 Tourism Investment and Financing Enterprises in 2017”. In addition, the Grapevine Town in Changli, Qinhuangdao and Bancheng Town won the “Top 10 Must Visit Special Towns” respectively. Shanhai Holiday Hotel won the “Top 10 Must Live-in Hotels”. Qinhuangdao Beidaihe International Health Recovery Center has won the award of “Top 10 Health Experience to Enjoy”. Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Rollerblading Festival has won the award of “Top 10 Must Participate in Tourism Festivals”.

The selection phase of this activity was launched on December 5, 2017. The candidates of enterprises and projects were combined in various modes, including “Enterprises Voluntary Submission”, “Government Department Recommendation” and “Expert Recommendation”. The selection process has been highly valued by tourism departments and enterprises of various regions. It has also gained widespread public attention. A total of more than 20 million valid ballots were collected, and the number of participants amounted to 4 million.
