Fancy a Skate? Sanya's Newest Ice Skating Park Opens

When the Ice and Snow Park Sanya opened its multipurpose indoor ice arena on February 4th, around 200 players from 19 youth hockey teams from different countries and regions headed to the park to rekindle an on-ice rivalry and off-ice friendships in a 19-team international youth hockey tournament in Sanya — the 2018 Qidi Hong’ao Cup International Youth Hockey Invitational Tournament (Sanya Stop).

The ice skating rink, built with investment by Tus-Holdings Co., Ltd., is located on Xincheng Road.

The park features three main parts: an ice-skating rink, an ice-themed performance center, and a service area. The facility is equipped with state-of-art artificial snowmaking and refrigeration technology to create a unique winter environment in the tropical getaway city.

The ice skating rink has a team of instructors composed of professional skaters who have won awards in major competitions. At the ice rink, adults and kids can take public skating lessons. Private lessons are also available and taught by professional coaches.
