Groups from eight countries are slated to participate in the Kunming International Carnival and more countries are expected to join this grand occassion. The carnival is a part of the Kungming International Culture and Tourism Festival.

The festival is filled with rich and colorful activities including a royal opening ceremony, singing and dancing performances, Yunnan specialties, and a long street showing folk snakes. Other activities include a stroll along the ancient street of Kunming, and Yunnan tourism songs such as, “Love my hometown, and sing around Yunnan,” that will be sung during a singers’ competition. There will also be a golf competition. The people in Kunming warmly welcome visitors from all over the world.
