With a history of more than 1,500 years, Fengjing ancient town was once a key connection between Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. There are many bridges, temples, famous people and lanes in the town. The town is also known as the birthplace of the famed Jinshanpeasant painting, which has won praise for its creative designs and bright colors that vividly represent everyday life of the working people.

Night Scene

The night scene of the town brings people back to ancient times when all of the shops close for the night and you can only see the dim light through the door. Stepping up the stone bridge, you can see the flowing river as the ripples of night spreads out around it.

Night Tour

A walk through the town in the night brings the tourists a warm atmosphere as the red lanterns cast light on the roofs and windows. The lighted road lamps along the river bank make the little path a “Time Tunnel” linking the town’s past and future.

Tourists can take a boat ride to see the night shows in the ancient drama center and enjoy the night scene along the river.

Fengjing offers various local specialties and every month has its own special dish such as shrimp pie, dried bean curd and steamed buns.
