The Memorial Museum of Generalissimo Sun Yat-sen's Mansion a site-based memorial museum based on the "former site of Guangzhou Generalissimo's Mansion".
The site was originally the generalissimo's mansion established by Sun Yat-sen in 1917, and was officially open to the public in 2006.
In 1920, Sun set up the supreme quarters of the Generalissimo of the Army and the Navy as Chen Jiongming, the military governor of Guangdong, defeated the Guangxi warlords and Yunnan warlords in Guangzhou and reshuffled the Kuomintang not long after the establishment of the supreme quarters.
Sun died on March 12, 1925 and in July 1925, the National Government of the Republic of China was formally founded and the supreme quarters had thus fulfilled its historical mission.
It is now a national historical and cultural site and open to the public.
