Built in 1927, the South China Botanical Garden is one of China’s largest botanic gardens of its kind.
The Botanical Garden was built based on the notion of reflection of nature, an aesthetic principle of classic Chinese garden, with 30 sub-gardens including the palm garden, the relict garden, the tropical plant greenhouse, the medicinal plant garden, the bamboo garden, the economic plant garden.
The garden has introduced nearly 10,000 species tropical and subtropical plants home and abroad.
