Open in 1959, the Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History witnesses the occurrence of many historic events where Dr. Sun Yat-sen attended inaugration of extraordinary president in 1921, and also where Mao Zedong was the editor-in-chief of Politics Weekly.

The buildiing is a two-storey dome-shaped building with a hall in the center circled by corridors, and is built on the site of the former Guangdong Advisory Bureau.
