The steamed vermicelli roll is originally invented by Guangzhou Pantang Hexian Teahouse. At that time, the stuffing was unavailable. So, the steamed vermicelli roll was called "Zhaichang”. Later, steamed vermicelli rolls were filled with fresh shrimp and beef to become the steamed vermicelli rolls with stuffing. As followed by many other teahouses, the varieties of steamed vermicelli rolls gradually diversified.
