Spring Festival Parade Held in San Francisco Chinatown: “Monkey Kings” All Over the Streets

Finale of San Francisco Chinatown Chinese New Year celebration-lunar New Year grand float parade was held on the night of February 20. More than 2500 people from over 100 organizations and groups took part in the parade, and more than 20 large floats shined on the cloudless night, along the way from downtown to Chinatown, it attracted hundreds of thousands of people lining the streets to watch. To celebrate the year of monkey, Monkey King Sun Wukong is the common theme of many floats and performances. Dance, martial arts, Sichuan opera face and even cartoon Monkey King showed to wish the audiences a happy lunar new year.
