ARC air transactions decrease for first time in 20 months

Travel agents’ July air transactions dipped slightly from the previous July, the first time in 20 months that there has been a year-over-year transaction decrease, ARC statistics show.

Transactions totaled 13.05 million, down from 13.07 million in July 2015. International transactions rose 4%, and domestic transactions were down 2%.

Meanwhile, total fares amounted to $5.3 billion in July, a decrease of more than 10%.
