Antigua and Barbuda partnered with Geotourist, a mobile GDS technology, to create an app for self-guided audio tours of cultural attractions on the islands.
"We are proud to be the first country in the Caribbean to offer this free mobile tour for our visitors who want to seek their own experiences, while still benefitting from a personal tour guide," said Colin James, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority.
When downloaded, the app highlights a city heritage tour with historic sites in St. John's, the capital of Antigua as well as a tour of the Unesco World Heritage site of Nelson's Dockyard.
The app includes a map of structures, monuments and cultural icons.
