When the street is covered with Martinkis, it is time to welcome the spring. Every year, on March 1, the Bulgarian people celebrated the “the Grandma March Day.” This holiday symbolizes the coming of spring. On the festival, walking down the streets and alleys, even strangers would smile to each other and send the blessing “Happy Grandma March Day.”
