Lotus Lantern Festival

With a history of more than 600 years, the Lotus  Lantern Festival is a classical festival in Seoul. Organized to celebrate the Buddha’s coming into this world, the month-long Lotus lantern Festival will pack its most anticipated events into three days, May 6-8; there are hands-on practical programs and performances to sing and dance along to. It is a civil celebration integrated with lighting and watching the lanterns. The festival was evaluated as an important intangible cultural heritage.
