Sanya Airport gets better installed services, ease traffics

A comprehensive transportation system was launched on December 17th at the Sanya Phoenix International Airport. The system is expected to help ease traffic pressure on airport roads during the peak tourism season.

In recent years, the Sanya Phoenix International Airport has been committed to improving its overall support capacity. The comprehensive transport system is an important part of those efforts.

The airport’s carriageway and sidewalks have also been broadened, and 27 traffic signs have been set up at key areas.

Two air corridors at the south and west sides of Sanya Aviation City link to the airport terminal building and the Phoenix Airport Station of the Hainan Western Ring High-speed Railway. Passengers can enjoy seamless transfer between high-speed rail and buses.

Sanya Aviation City, a large-scale commercial complex, has entered its final interior decoration phase. The parking area will include the first and second floors of the complex and the comprehensive parking garage, which together will provide a total of 2,040 parking spaces.

In addition, the Waigaoqiao Direct Imported Goods Store in China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone will open a branch in Sanya Aviation City.

The new supermarket will mainly sell overseas commodities including seafood, fruits, snacks, cosmetics, and articles for daily use. Prices are generally 10 to 20 percent lower than in average supermarkets and online stores, because all the goods are duty-free or directly supplied by manufacturers.

With a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan, Sanya Aviation City is composed of three conjoined buildings with a total construction area of 174,000 square meters, including a comprehensive bonded hall, an Outlets shopping mall, a Hainan-style hall, and a gourmet court.
