At the beginning of new year, the large scale reconstruction and improvement project of Yangliuqing Ancient Town has been fully started. In 3-5 years, with nearly 10 billion RMB investment, the town will be reconstructed and improved according to 5A scenic area standard to become a featured town and total scale tourist destination. It will be a livable and enterpriseadaptable tourist town full of antique beauty. A batch of projects like Yuanbao Island, Emperor Wharf Square and Yangliuqing Historical Museum will be started this year. At present, total 12 projects have been signed contracts with total investment of RMB￥39.5 billion. By hard works, two-day trip in Yangliuqing Town will be realized in 3 years and multi-day trip will be realized in 5 years. The annual tourists of Yangliuqing Town will be 10 million person time.

The historic cultural tourist area is the key project of reconstruction and improvement with the developments of Courtyard Area and Yuanbao Island as priority. The protective development of Courtyard Area will go on to expand 500m more to west. All ancient courtyards there will be salvaged, repaired and restored. Historic and cultural industry zone will be built on Yuanbao Island and 100,000sq.m commercial facilities will be started on island this year. After completed, the berthing spectacles of Emperor Qianlong will be reappeared at Emperor Wharf Square. Dead end roads will be got through and decoration of Xiqing Street, Liukou Road and Liuxia Road in style of ancient will also be started. Many details of Yangliuqing Ancient Town in memory and legendary will be further substantialized.
