Gran Plaza

Gran Plaza shows the confidence and ambition of Monterrey. The many squares crossing each other form a defensive line of the city. In 1980s, the Plaza was built after a big residential area was demolished in the city center. At that time, the action raised many disputes but now it won people’s hearts in the end. The empty space is now replaced by parks, trees, fountains and lakes, transforming it into a beautiful area.
