The Presidential Palace Scenic Area is located in downtown Nanjing. The ancient buildings within the scenic area were built in the early years of the Ming Dynasty. It was successively resided by Prince Han of the Ming Dynasty, the Governor of Zhejiang and Jiangsu Provinces of the Qing Dynasty, Tianwang of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, and Sun Yat-sen as his Provisional Grand Presidential Palace. It was also used as the National Government of the Republic of China (before 1949) and the Presidential Palace. With 600 years of history, it is highly valuable in culture and history.
