DFS Group, the world’s leading luxury travel retailer, has unveiled two new stores spanning over 5,800 square feet of retail space at Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA) new Midfield Concourse. The new stores offer travelers an exciting assortment from across DFS’ five pillars of luxury, integrating general merchandise with categories like Beauty and Fragrances, and Wines and Spirits. The stores’ carefully curated product and brand selection is tailored to the needs of the traveling consumer, offering over 100 wines and spirits brands as well as popular Korean beauty such as Sulwhasoo and Laneige. The new stores also feature a fashion watches and jewelry concept space from Emporio Armani as well as travel retail’s first ever Ray-Ban sunglasses shop-in-shop in Asia.
“We are delighted to partner with the Airport Authority Hong Kong to bring visitors to Hong Kong International Airport’s new Midfield Concourse the surprising and delightful customer experience they have come to expect from DFS,” said Benjamin Vuchot, Regional President, Asia North. “As the first point of retail for travelers when entering the new concourse, we offer travelers a multi-branded, cross-category experience designed for ease of shopping and we’re confident passengers will love this approach to the travel retail experience.”
The Midfield Concourse, which opened in December 2015 to help address the rising traffic levels at Hong Kong International Airport, has gradually been adding restaurants, coffee shops and retail outlets to create a one-stop shopping and dining experience for passengers. DFS’ Midfield Concourse stores are designed to cater to as many as 10 million passengers. In addition to the Midfield Concourse, DFS Group currently holds the duty free concessions for Perfume and Cosmetics, Duty Free Liquor and Tobacco, and Airside General Merchandise at Hong Kong International Airport.
