Consumption upgrading Scandinavia + Northern Germany shows strong market potential
In recent years, the amount of outbound Chinese tourists has been increasing constantly. As a result, the demand for quality outbound tourism products has been increasing, and the medium- and high-end consumers are willing to explore novel destinations and gain new experiences. We also know that 2017 is the “China-Denmark Tourism Year”, and China-Norway relations are normalizing. Also, Hamburg is scheduled to hold the G20 Summit. In the good European outbound tourism market, Nordic’s Denmark and Norway as well as Hamburg (Pearl of Northern Germany) have already shown their strong market potential.
According to this agreement, the Scandinavian Tourist Board, Hamburg Tourist Board, and CAISSA Touristic will further explore the high-quality tourism resources of the Scandinavian countries and Northern Germany, and research and develop the high-end featured theme tour products of Denmark, Norway and Hamburg, in hopes to attract more Chinese tourists.
CAISSA Touristic started in Hamburg and has been running their business in Europe for over 20 years. Based on its professional and stable European local resources, CAISSA Touristic has set up an integrated domestic-and-international operating mode. Ms. Wang Zhuli, Senior Vice President of CAISSA Touristic and General Manager of European Group, said, “This cooperation will enrich the product line of CAISSA Touristic in Europe a great deal. We will integrate festival, food, art, leisure, family tour, outdoor tour, and many other themes into this cooperation. By taking advantage of Xing Fu Si Jia Tuan (Happy Family Private Tour), private order, independent travel, semi-independent travel and many other travel modes, we will bring Chinese tourists more diverse choices, more intimate service, and more unique travel experiences.”
Research and develop new products Help tourists gain more profound travel experiences
Under the cooperation framework agreement, CAISSA Touristic released the “Scandinavia + North Germany 13-Day Entertaining Travel” and other new products. The new tour package includes the time to stay in Hamburg, allowing tourists to fully experience the unique tourism resources of Northern Germany. You can take a stroll around the Alster in the city center; you can go shopping on Jungfernstieg; you can listen to the calls of the fish dealers in the 100-year-old fish market and taste the fish-meat bread; you can visit the Elbe Philharmonic Hall to appreciate its unique building style and green environmental protection concept; and you can also feel the heartbeat of the World Heritage under the fairy tale-rich city gate in Lubeck.
Next, tourists will leave for Scandinavia from Hamburg. You can look for the trace of the Great Wall of China in Tivoli Gardens; you can walk into Andersen’s hometown Odense to experience the overwhelming atmosphere of fairy tales: Hans Christian Andersen Museum, his former residence, and his bronze statue, all tell us the rugged life course of this “King of Fairy Tales”; in addition, there are also the coolest and most exotic oyster hunting and tasting experiences in the Limfjord. Then, we leave for Norway. Not only will you become obsessed with the stunning natural beauty of the valleys and water channels, but you can also visit the Pulpit Rock which has been listed by National Geographic as one of the top 50 must-visit tourist attractions in the world. Visiting this Rock is like experiencing a fantastic adventure.
Tourism professionals say that Scandinavia and Northern Germany are rich in natural resources and profound cultural essence, and are places worth traveling to. Since the whole European outbound tourism market is in an upward trajectory, we believe that Chinese tourists’ will of traveling abroad will also grow further.

The highest scoring happiness index nation of the world is Denmark, which is known to the whole world by its fairy tales, food, design, castles, and carefree lifestyle. A few days ago, it hit headlines because of its “oyster flooding event.” 2017 is the “China-Denmark Tourism Year”, which is also the first ever national tourism year between China and Scandinavian nations. Recently, Yi Yangqianxi, of China’s TFBoys boy band announced to serve as Denmark’s national tourism image ambassador in Anderson’s hometown Odense. This news attracted many Chinese youths.
As China-Norwary relations normalize, China and Norway have started their cooperation on many fields including tourism and commerce. As we all know, Norway has the world’s longest and deepest fjord, where the pure natural view and splendid northern lights in winter have long captivated tourists’ hearts. No matter if you climb the steep mountains, choose to sail in the bottomless fjord, or visit the small but beautiful old cities, you will harvest numerous fascinating travel experiences in the glamorous land of Norway.
[Northern Germany]
