Ctrip Signs Cooperation Agreements with Chongqing Government, Assists in the Future Development of Chongqing's Tourism Industry

Recently, Ctrip Executive Chairman James Liang, and Ctrip CEO Jane Jie Sun paid a visit to Chongqing, a city in the southwest of China, to investigate and research, and officially announced the signing of the strategic cooperation agreements with Chongqing Municipal People’s Government.

It is understood that Ctrip is the first enterprise in the tourism industry that has comprehensively assisted in the future development of Chongqing’s tourism industry. On the day of the signing ceremony, Ctrip CEO Jane Jie Sun had profoundly communicated with Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and Chongqing’s media.

After that, Wang Dingguo, Deputy Director of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development, and Jane Jie Sun signed the related strategic cooperation agreements, which was witnessed by the related leaders of Chongqing Municipality; James Liang, Executive Chairman of Ctrip; Yang Zi, Senior Vice President of Ctrip; and Xi Weihang, Vice President and Chief Government Officer of Ctrip.

The agreements show that Ctrip will reach a consensus with Chongqing on destination resource integration marketing, transportation intermodal and international airport construction, the building of the smart and technological future homestay, comprehensive smart tourism upgrade, public service upgrade, service quality tracking, and many other aspects, and will create a model city of comprehensive tourism development out of Chongqing.

“Chongqing has lots of beautiful scenery and rich historical and cultural tourism resources, and it also features many of China’s popular scenic spots.” Jane Jie Sun said that Ctrip will also attach more importance to the development of diversified services and many varieties of products in the future.

Jane Jie Sun also said that Ctrip will not only provide high quality service for Chinese domestic tourists coming to Chongqing, but it will also present the unique and charismatic scenic spots and other tourism-related products of Chongqing to the world’s tourists through its more accurate service and the one-stop products it provides.

Before this signing ceremony, Chongqing’s related leader once pointed out in public that they need to adapt to the high quality development and high quality life, and make all efforts to build the upgraded version of the development of Chonqing’s tourism industry, and build a world-famous tourist destination.

Even earlier at the end of this May, he also pointed out when visiting the Southwest Customer Service Center of Ctrip, “In order to push forward the smart development of big data, we shall adhere to the high-end, grand, and upscale standard, but we also need to connect the grassroots. The call service is an industry of connecting the grassroots.”

It is understood that, in the latest strategic cooperation, Ctrip also planned to attract more inbound tourists while serving the outbound tourists including those from Chongqing, based on its call center in Yongchuan District, Chongqing.
